Goodbye from the Ruhr Uni Bochum

After ten public editions, this is the end

emBO++ took place for the first time in 2016 – with four people. Since 2017 it has been open to the public and happened every year until 2026, and it grew into an international community of programmers, developers and everyone interested in embedded systems and hardware-related software development.

We filled the days with talks ranging from physics and classical electrical engineering, system design of boards for embedded systems and development toolchains to programming libraries, special features of programming languages and their standardization. And we filled the nights with parties.

After ten public editions, emBO++ is over. There will be no further edition. This page stays online as a farewell and as the entrance to the archive of all recorded talks.

Thank you

We thank every single attendee. You travelled to Bochum from all over the world, you asked the hard questions, you stayed for one more drink – you made emBO++ what it was.

Thank you to all speakers who shared their knowledge, to all sponsors and partners who made the conference possible, to our hosts, and to everyone who helped behind the scenes.

So long, and thanks for all the bits.
